High-pressure steam and hand-scrubbed grout
Tile & Grout Cleaning
Our tile and grout cleaning uses high-pressure steam and specialized tools to remove years of buildup, restoring your floors to their original beauty.
Why the grout line goes dark long before the tile does
Tile itself is hard and sealed, so a mop slides over it and the surface looks fine. Grout is a different material. It is porous and sits lower than the tile face, which makes every grout line a shallow trench. Mop water, foot traffic and kitchen splatter wash into those trenches and stay there. Each pass of a mop pushes a little more dirty water into the line, and the line darkens while the tile beside it still shines.
In kitchens that means grease and food residue packed into the joints around the stove and sink. In bathrooms and showers it is soap film, hard-water residue and moisture that never fully leaves, which is exactly what mold and mildew need. A grout line that stays damp and dirty will keep growing a dark film no matter how hard you scrub the surface of the tile.
That is also why household sprays disappoint. They lighten the top of the line for a week and leave the buildup underneath, so the color returns. Getting the joint clean means reaching down into the grout itself.

How we work a floor, from grout pre-treatment to the final rinse
The visit starts with prep. The floor is swept so loose grit does not scratch anything, then we pre-treat the grout lines so the cleaning solution has time to loosen what has been packed in for years. This waiting step does a lot of the work, and rushing past it is how streaky results happen.
Next comes the steam clean. High-pressure steam drives heat and water into the joints and lifts dirt and grime out of the pores of the grout. Where a line needs more than steam alone, we go in with specialized brushes and scrub the grout by hand, line by line, so stubborn spots and corners are not left behind.
Then we extract. The loosened dirt is pulled up and away rather than left to settle back into the joints, which is the difference between a floor that looks clean for a day and one that stays clean. Tile surface restoration and a final rinse and dry finish the job, and the tile comes up even and bright from edge to edge.
Floors, counters and showers, and how to keep grout clean between visits
We clean tile floors in kitchens, entryways and bathrooms, kitchen counter tops, and tiled showers. Each surface has its own problem. Floors carry years of traffic, counters collect grease and spills, and showers fight mold and mildew. Removing it at the source brightens discolored grout, restores the original tile color and leaves a healthier surface to live with.
Between visits, a little habit goes a long way. Wipe up spills before they dry into the joint, run the bathroom fan or crack a window after a shower so the grout can dry, and use a gentle pH-neutral cleaner instead of harsh acids or bleach that can eat at grout over time. A soft brush works better than a scouring pad on the lines.
